In the heart of historical Lampasas, Texas
Historical House Restored
John Madison “Matt” bought this Queen Anne Cottage circa 1902. Matt (1858-1936) moved to Burnet County, TX as a young boy. He served as a Deputy Sheriff before the couple moved to Lampasas in 1896. Here, he operated the Lampasas Hotel, a restaurant, and a saloon. Design features on the house include scrolled brackets and a hipped roof with cross gables.
Home & Gardens dedicated to
Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II was a huge inspiration for the design of the interior of the 1902 House and the Gardens outside. Her life, her devotion to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her service to people deserved this dedication at the very least.
